House in Ramat Efal 2005
A private house in Ramat Efal. A house that is built on the idea of layers of screens. The south facade has a double skin that allows for an intemediate space that aids in cooling the south facing windows on the ground floor during the scorching summer days. The main circulation crosses the house from west to east right at its heart, allowing natural ventilation to flow right through. Roof skylights let the hot air out when needed. A small house that looks plain on the outside but reveals a rather rich and surprising interior, playfull in colour and levels of transparencies.
